New Amazon S3 plugin for WordPress – Imthi.com
Yet another plugin by my brother Imthiaz. This time for it’s the Amazon S3 plugin for WordPress. Though I still haven’t used it, I am sure he has done a great job. Although there are other plugins similar, seeing the difficulty faced by the user of those plugins and due to popular demand, he has created a very user friendly plugin.
According to him, the toughest part in the plugin is to configure the Amazon S3 settings, create a folder for caching and setup the wordpress cron file. Once these settings are done you don’t have to worry about anything else. The plugin will look for media files in your post and automatically schedule the files for amazon upload. Once the file is uploaded the media urls will be from the CDN. There are no changes done in your database and if you disable the plugin everything will go back to the old state.
For those of you who are wondering what the Amazon S3 is or about, below is an explanation.

Amazon S3 is storage for the Internet. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers.
Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that can be used to store and retrieve any amount of data, at any time, from anywhere on the web.
